Radio host Elaine Womack of station KBFG 107.3FM is covering BPA events. Her show "Exit Stage Left" highlights local performing arts programs and airs
Wednesdays at 6 pm and Fridays at 8 am weekly.
Recently she recorded a PSA for the Spring Concerts and now she is covering the Fiddle Showcase.Thank you to Elaine for media coverage!

Vocal Jazz Solo Night + Spring Concert
Choir Spring Concert: Tonight, May 31st at 7:30 pm
Concert Clothes Return: All Seniors and Treble Choir members will return their concert attire after the performance. Please bring a change of clothes with you to the concert. Check out is in the gym hallway.
Vocal Jazz Solo Night: J
oin us for Vocal Jazz Solo Night on Monday, June 4th. The performance begins at
7:30 pm
in the Black Box Theatre and features all Vocal Jazz students singing solo jazz standards. Once again, we will be joined by the incomparable Ev Stern Jazz Trio, Seattle-based professional jazz musicians. Vocal Jazz students, please bring in $40 to cover the cost of working with the jazz trio at your earliest convenience. Checks can be made payable to Ballard Performing Arts.
Treble Choir Parent Chaperone/Drivers: On Thursday, June 7th, Treble Choir will take our annual tour around Seattle. We'll sing at elementary schools, middle schools, nursing homes/retirement centers, and Pike Place Market. It's a fun day, and we need your help. We are looking for parents to chaperone and drive, and a parent to help Ms.Rowley with planning an itinerary. Contact

5th Annual Fiddle Showcase at the Ballard Homestead: Friday, June 8th, featuring the Warren G Hardings at 7pm, student call time is 6 pm.
Square dancing to follow. No experience necessary, all dances taught.

Spring Concert Prep + Upcoming Auditions
Band Audition Sign Up: With our rapidly growing program, we are excited to announce the addition of a third band next year, the Concert Band! While no audition is needed for Concert Band, auditions are required for placement in either Symphonic or Wind Ensemble.
Time slots are filling up fast, so be sure to sign up here for your specific audition date and time between June 5th and June 14th. Audition packets were distributed in class or are available from Mr. James.

We Are Going to Disneyland: Members of the 2018-2019 Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will experience the magic of Disney in April 2019. Workshops with Disney musicians, performances in the parks, and 3-Day Park Hopper passes are just a few of the items included in the estimated $1100 trip cost. More details will be announced soon.

All Seniors and Symphonic Band members, as well as Percussionists not participating in the Graduation ceremony, will return their concert attire after the performance. Please bring a change of clothes with you to the concert. Volunteers are needed to help with the return process.
URGENT - Marching Band Uniform Coordinator(s) Needed: Our Marching Band is looking for Uniform Coordinator(s) to keep us looking sharp at performances. The coordinator is supported by a team of volunteers during fittings, alterations, uniform distribution and returns. Grab a friend and volunteer together! The main time commitments are from mid-August through the end of football season, with one performance in February and the Ballard Parade in May. Please contact Jen Witeck for more information.
