The Summit Educational Foundation is pleased to announce our grant awards for the 2019 fall
grant cycle. With generous support from our member families, the Foundation approved 60
grants totaling over $180,000. The District, Elementary, Middle and High School levels received grants totaling $21,700,
$123,886, $9,695 and $25,218 respectively.
A sampling of the approved grants includes:
* Ted Master class training for 10 teachers throughout the district, $2,400
* Site license for Reflexmath at Washington and Lincoln-Hubbard Elementary Schools, $5,932
* Classroom Audio Amplification systems for a variety of classrooms at all 5 elementary schools, LCJSMS
and SHS, $35,960
* Cubelets robot coding blocks for the Steam program at Jefferson Elementary School, $3,900
* One, Book, One School shared reading program at Franklin Elementary School, $1,680
* New flexible furniture in all 4 Resource Rooms at Brayton Elementary School, $18,964
* Colonial Reenactment programs for fourth grade students at Franklin and Lincoln-Hubbard
Elementary Schools, $2,000
* Virtual Dive presentation from ReefHQ Aquarium in Australia for students and their families at
LCJSMS, $250
* One Book, One School author visit with "New Kid" author Jerry Craft for 6, 7 and 8th grade
students

* The "History of Jazz" performance and presentation by Peter and Will Anderson for 8th
grade students at
