As part of our efforts to assist municipalities this year, MPAC worked with Cloudpermit, a cloud-based e-permitting software that allows municipal building departments to digitize the entire building permit process and includes integration with MPAC’s systems.
In the drive toward paperless systems and the ability to access files remotely, a number of Ontario municipalities adopted the use of Cloudpermit to manage the entire process from permit issue to inspections and approvals, and we want to ensure the outputs of that, or any other product, work seamlessly with our MPAC systems.
Grey Highlands recently transitioned to from paper to the new e-permitting system, with great results. “With this new system we’re able to issue permits more quickly and efficiently, and the process for digitally submitting them to MPAC is much faster and more efficient because pre-filled forms cut down on errors and missed information,” says Debbie Anderson, Chief Building Official.
Digital permit submissions and access to electronic building plans support MPAC’s work to assess new property quickly and correctly, and help us provide accurate forecasts of municipal growth.
