2nd Sunday After Pentecost
Single Service  9:00 am ( Outdoors)
Blessing of the Bikes

Gentle Reader,
Summer is here!  The days are long, and warm...and often full to bursting with activity!  It seems the gerbil wheel and the balancing routine never  take a day off, and neither can we.  But there is a deeper truth out there.  A deeper truth
that you were made to live.  A deeper truth that holds you, re-centers you, and gives you rest in more ways then one.
Come to our first outdoor service of the season!  Come and celebrate God's gifts in the beauty of creation!  Come, breath deep of God's freedom and peace and be re-created!
It may just change your life!

Outdoor Worship  9am
Blessing of the bikes to follow.
See you there!
Pastor Grant

An Important Message from your Church Council
Summer brings a change of pace for all concerned.   As Minnesotans we do our best to take advantage of warmer weather and enjoy outdoor activities.  That is true for your Council too!  Many of our Council members are on our St. Paul Lutheran softball team.  That is necessitating a change in the date of our June and July council meetings.   Please note that we will meet on June 20th and July 18th - the third Wednesday of the month, rather than the Gusual Tuesday.

We also want you to know the Council is keeping a very close eye on our budget.   As you know, the congregation approved a negative budget at our January Annual Meeting.   At that time, everyone in attendance felt that we could overcome that deficit.   That has not proven to be the case in the first 5 months of 2018.   Not only have expenses been higher, largely because of the long winter, but giving has actually been lower than expected.   We ask that each member take a look at their giving and do their very best to stay current and, if possible, stretch your giving for the summer.    We will keep you updated on any levers that we think must be pulled in order to be good stewards of our finances.
