Meditation Moment

From the Pastor ....

"Knock and the door will be opened for you."
(Matthew 7:7b)

Yesterday a beautiful new door opened in my life! This was the door to our new home in the Settler's Glen neighborhood of Stillwater! Today is a new season, a new month, and an exciting chapter. All of this came to be by God's grace.

The leaves of fall are about to reveal the beauty of letting go. In the transformation of color, in the release of the past they held onto, a new season awaits. Letting go in life is easier said than done. Fear may hold us back. We often cling to comfort zones or even ruminate on past hurts. Today is a new day! What might you need to let go of to discover something new? Doors are opening for you. Your past is not your potential. Even when we can't let go, God's compassion holds you in this moment. All is well. Today's troubles are enough for today. Tomorrow also awaits in grace and due time. God is with you and for you!

Eternally,

Pastor Karna

Supper Seven

Fall is here and here is your chance to get to know other church members by registering for Supper Seven. Supper Seven is a chance to meet with 7 people in a home for dinner and conversation. The host will plan the main course of the meal and assign a dish for the others to bring. For those who choose not to meet in a home and go to a restaurant, each will pay for their own meal.  Once the sign up is over, groups will be assigned and the 1st  person of the group will be responsible for contacting the others and setting a meeting date that works for the group. Groups will be different each session and will meet 3 times during the year. Email Sandy Fabio or call at 651-439-9773 if you have questions. Sign up will be at the Welcome Desk from September 25 to October 9.

Ministry Opportunities

Valley Outreach Undie Sunday Oct 13!

The 7th Annual Valley Outreach 'Undies' Campaign is currently underway.
This year Valley Outreach is on target to distribute 16,500 pairs of socks and/or underwear to their clients.
How Can Valley Outreach meet this goal? Valley Outreach relies on the support of the faith communities in the St. Croix Valley to make this program a success. As a member of the OSLC faith community, your contributions are crucial in helping our neighbors in need.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? Donate new, in the package, socks or underwear and fill up the clothes baskets in the Gathering Area (now through Oct. 13). Men and women's underwear are needed the most (prefer boxers over briefs).
Thank you for participating in this important event!
