Weekly Letter From Our Pastor
This Weekend at Living Water
Sunday Message:
Early on in Jesus' ministry the gospel writer Mark records a time when Jesus' good friends invited him out on the lake for a boat ride. They were a ways out on the water when a storm of terrible proportions blew up and threatened to capsize the craft and drown everyone on board. Jesus leveraged the crisis as a teachable moment; calming the storm and delivering a critical lesson on faith. Our preaching theme: Facing Life's Storms.
Blessing of the Cycles
After worship this Sunday at 10:30am, weather permitting we'll be gathering outside to attempt something we've never before done at LW: A Blessing of the Cycles. Bicycle...unicycle...motorcycle...tricycle...bring it and we'll bless it! Thanks in advance to Pastor Jennifer Larson-LaRue and the Blue Hills Harley Club for helping make this happen! Word is, there may be a bike ride soon afterwards.
NW Synod of Wisconsin - Assembly
Every Spring the regional group of ELCA churches of which we are a part all gather in one place for two days of meetings. We do things like approve a mission plan, share best practices, and make sure we're doing as well as we possibly can of living into the Good News of Jesus. This weekend we add one more important task: electing one of our pastors to a 6-year term as bishop. As the representative from LW,
I thank you for holding in prayer, the sacred work of this assembly.

Cleaning the 411 Building
Serving others through Christ: while there are limitless ways to live into our mission statement, one big one is signing up for church cleaning. Here are a couple things to know when you sign up: 1) cleaning is typically done sometime after Wednesday evening activities and before Sunday morning Worship; 2) email the church office at

Summer Splash Pad
Kids and families are important to Living Water.
For our third year we are proud to be able to sponsor Free Family Day at the Cameron Splash Park. Each Wednesday this summer families can go to the park with no admission charge thanks to the Mission we are launching now through Mid- June. Last year over 3,000 attendees had a way to cool off thanks to Living Water. Your donations towards this Mission make this possible. Please contribute to a great way for us to reach out to the community in which we are located.
