All 39 eighth-graders traveled to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park during the first full week of school.

Parents back to school
Ever wonder how you'd do in a Keystone classroom? A pair of events brought parents on campus to try their kids' classroom experience, and it was an eye-opener.

Keystone Night at Spurs game
For the first time, our school is partnering with the San Antonio Spurs to present a Keystone School night at a game. 

Sports Notes

The Varsity Girls' Volleyball team on Aug. 23 defeated KIPP Academy: 25-18, 25-10, 25-9 .

Stat leaders are junior Bella with 9 kills and 5 aces; freshman Gabi with 16 assists, junior Abby with 5 aces and junior Stephanie with 11 digs. This win brings the team's record to 3-0. Next, the team plays in the September Showdown tournament on Sept. 6 and 8 .

Taco Tuesday and Ice Cream Thursday

The junior class presents two important sales coming this week:

Tacos : 7-8:20 a.m. on Sept. 4 Come score a Bean and Cheese or Potato and Egg taco. Or both.

Ice Cream : 5th and 6th period on Sept. 6. The sundaes cost $4, but bring a little extra for toppings.
12 th  Grade Parent College Counseling Coffee - September 7

Parents are invited to a 12 th  Grade Coffee with college counselor Ms. Christiansen from 8:30-10am Sept. 7 in the lunchroom. We’ll go over the logistics of applying to college through Naviance, share details & deadlines for the fall, and how you can support your senior this year.
Fifth Grade Parent Coffee - September 13

Fifth grade parents are invited to join Head of Middle School Theresa Powers and Counselor Alison Raymer for coffee and an informal conversation about what we are seeing as parents with the fifth grade transition to middle school from 8:30 - 9 a.m. Thursday, September 13 in the Dining Hall.

Parent Connection Book Club - October 3

Please join Keystone Counselors Alison Raymer, Erica Shapiro, and Keystone parents for a lively discussion of  Voice Lessons for Parents: What to Say, How to Say It, and When to Listen , in which author Dr. Wendy Mogel invites us to discover how each age and stage of a child’s life brings new opportunities to connect through language. Calling all alumni interviewers!

If you are involved as an official alumni interviewer for your undergraduate institution, we would love your assistance helping our seniors prepare for admission interviews. Mohan Iyengar '16 is back at Texas A&M working on his pre-vet studies after spending a summer in India interacting with lions, tigers, bears and other animals.
