Hot Breakfast
There will be no breakfast this Sunday due to the Bishop's visit.  The next breakfast will be Sunday, June 10, which be provided by guest chefs, Rip & Ann Phillips.

Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship.

Bishop's Visit!
Bishop White will be making his annual visitation on Sunday, June 3rd.

To honor his presence, and those who receive confirmation and publicly reaffirm their faith, we will have a reception in Board Hall after the 10:00 Eucharist.

As in the past, when we pitch in together, each helping out one way or another, we wind up having quite a party.

If you haven't done so already, please respond to the parish email that has gone out to sign up to bring certain dishes or to help out in another capacity.  THERE IS STILL 1 OPENING FOR SAVORY APPETIZERS, AND 2 OPENINGS TO HELP WITH SERVING AND CLEAN UP as of this writing.

Thank you!

Wednesday morning bible study will NOT be held on June 6, 13, and 20.  It will resume on June 27 with I Kings, Chapter 11.

St. Luke's Book Club for June
YOU ARE INVITED to St Luke's Book Club on June 26 at 6:00. Our book selection for June is The Hellfire Club written by Jake Tapper, CNN chief Washington correspondent and New York Times bestselling author of, The Outpost-- the heartbreaking but inspiring saga of one of the most deadly battles of the Afghanistan war.

Tapper has followed with The Hellfire Club, just-released 1950's D.C. intrigue at its finest.  Charlie Nader, a WWII veteran, and new, unlikely Congressman is slammed into office by family ties after his predecessor dies mysteriously.   Charlie struggles in navigating the dangerous waters of D. C. with his young wife Margaret, a zoologist with her own ambitions.

Swirling, glamorous D. C. life, powerful political leaders, and a mysterious fatal auto accident thrust Charlie and Margaret into an underworld of backroom deals, secret societies, and a possible world course changing plot.  Charlie discovers conspiracy at the highest governmental levels and must fight for his principals, new political career and, far more important,  his life.

MEETING INFO: Lyman House, June 26, FOURTH (4th) Tuesday monthly at 6:00 PM *NOTICE DATE & TIME CHANGE FROM 6:30pm* for 2+- hours of rousing conversations and introductions to books of almost every genre. At the end of each meeting, we discuss books for the next month's selection, so bring your suggestions with you.

Wednesday Walks on the Anchorage Trail
Join us at the Anchorage Trail each Wednesday at 8:30 AM (weather permitting) for an invigorating walk along the trail that leads us thru a wildflower meadow where you might see deer, colorful birds, turtles and other species of both animals and plants.

After our walk, we can come to St. Luke's to hear the word of God at our Wednesday morning Bible Study. Looking forward to being "on the trail again!"
