Residents interested in participating on an Advisory Committee for District-managed Lighting and Landscaping Assessment Districts (LLADs) can download the application here. The deadline is Sept. 15

We Need Your Input!

Join us at Valley View School Gymnasium (1665 Blackstone Parkway) Thursday, September 13, at 7:30 pm for a community meeting on the planning of two new village park sites in the Blackstone Community.  Light refreshments will be provided. If you have any questions please email Tauni Fessler, Parks and Planning Director, at tfessler@edhcsd.org

National
Preparedness Month
Disasters Happen. Prepare Now. 
Learn How.

September is National Preparedness Month, with emphasis and encouragement for people to prepare for disasters. Make a plan, practice, learn life-saving skills, check insurance coverage and save for an emergency Visit Ready's website  for more details about how to properly prepare for disasters. The  California Governor's Office of Emergency Services  also has links and tutorials on how to prepare and who can help during a disaster. The El Dorado Hills Fire Department has information on how to plan and evacuate  here .

Improvement Projects at Promontory Park and Sellwood Field
 
Promontory Community Park Tennis Courts are being resurfaced and
will be closed from Tuesday, September 4  to Friday, September 7. Alternate locations to play tennis are Lake Forrest Park (1821 Francisco Drive) and Stephan Harris Park Tennis Courts Park (2560 Riviera Cir). 
 
Bass Lake (Sellwood) Field parking lot is in the process of being relocated. The field is still open and accessible. The new parking lot will be open by the end of September.

Fall 2018 Recreation Guide Is Out!

Saturday Night in the Park - Island of the Black & White

One last concert to end the summer! The Island of Black & White will be performing at the Community Park (1021 Harvard Way) on Saturday, September 8. The show starts at 5 pm.

Community Clean-Up Day - Volunteers Needed
The event is on Saturday, Septemeber 29. Volunteers are a vital part of making this day a reality. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Becky Vorster at bvorster@edhcsd.org.

Neighborhood Park Parties - Laurel Oaks Park & Murray Homestead Park

That's right we're bringing the party to a neighborhood near you! Bring your family, and and we'll supply the food and fun! Come down to Laurel Oaks Park (5034 Whistlers Bend Way) on Friday, September 7 and stop by Murray Homestead Park (3700 Amer Way) on Friday, September 14. Events start at 5 pm

Weekend Swim Lessons

Summer is almost over, but our pool is still open! Take advantage of extra pool time and enroll your child in Weekend Swim Lessons. The last session begins on 9/22 and ends on 10/13. Register  here .
