Up! Practical Sales Talks
A series of practical and candid sales talks by experts in the trenches.

What can we learn about Sales from the AirBnB and UBER of Everything?

Over the last ten years the rapid change in technology and social norms has opened up new business models in the market place and there seems to be an Airbnb and Uber of everything… maybe even yours!

While conceptually you understand what the Airbnb of parking is…the act of getting people on both sides of the marketplace to participate, it really comes down to a VERY TARGETED sales positioning and process.
Building sales in a marketplace takes patience, persistence and a very replicable plan. Over the last 3 years Tim Wootton, Founder and CEO of Rover Parking learned what works and what doesn’t and will share his entrepreneurial journey with you, so you can implement a sales strategy that will impact your business right away.

BACD CLIENT SPOTLIGHT
Traffic Control People (TCP)
Owned by Joe Weber, and located in the region of Durham, Traffic Control People is a full-service traffic management company providing the finest highly trained personnel.

After becoming a BACD client in 2017, Traffic Control People consisted of 1 truck and 2 staff. By July, the word spread that Joe had started this company and that one of their goals was to ensure their staff were taken care of, especially in the area of safety while on the job. At that point, they had 6 people who Joe had worked with in the past, come join the company as staff members and consequently they added 3 new trucks.

Joe says "TCP's reputation is built on service and client satisfaction. When you need traffic control for short or long term projects, we have the people for you. We are 40% cheaper than all of our competition. And we do not have travel time charges in Durham."

Today, TCP has 7 trucks ad 18 talented TCPs (16 of our staff live in the Durham Region).
"We hope to continue to employ dedicated local residents (we will only grow as talent is available) and provide services to 65 incredibly loyal clients. And the big news is we are on pace to do $1.5 this year."
