Memorial Day always feels like the start of summer to me, but this year it seems like it is far too early. I hope everyone has a pleasant weekend and has a chance to remember those who are precious to them on this Memorial Day 2020.

In April, the Arts Foundation for Martin County Board launched an Artist Relief Fund to support artists with small grants to help them survive the global pandemic and resulting economic losses. We are proud to announce our first round of grant recipients who were notified earlier this week:

Jane Baldridge, Kate Blazie, Suzanne Connors, Victoria Ferrer,
Paul Hamaty, Heather Ivins, Sophie Ledeme and Michael Robbins

Having a physical space that nurtures the creative spirit is what our campaign for a cultural center is all about.   The deadline for making a matching gift to support this campaign is coming soon. Through May 26, you can still give via the Giving Tuesday site . It's a great incentive to know your gift will be amplified. Many thanks to the 32 individuals who have given with donations totaling $5,510.

Stay safe. Stay well. Thank you for your support!

Featuring artwork from students of:

Clark Advanced Learning Center, Jensen Beach High School, Martin County High School, South Fork High School and The Pine School

Virtual exhibition runs through June 30th
Awards Announcement: Tues., May 20th | 6 PM
