Have you seen the 2019 Hurricanes Crowdsourced Photos Map for #Dorian ? GISCorps Volunteers have been uploading photos from various sources to create situational awareness for emergency managers and first responders. Explore the dashboard.  


Joining us in New Orleans for GIS-Pro 2019? Here are two ways that you can give back:
  1. Participate in the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Mapathon on Monday evening. 
     
  2. Contribute to the Silent Auction supporting URISA's GISCorps. We raised nearly $4,000 for GISCorps in Palm Springs last year. Deadline for Presentation Proposals for #GISValTech2020 is October 7

Don't miss the 2020 GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Formerly known as GIS/CAMA, the event has been re-branded to take into account the abundance of technologies that, when integrated with GIS, make valuation and assessment more accurate, efficient and applicable for jurisdictions of all sizes.  

Presentation proposals are due October 7.  Please check out the suggested topics and submission details here

The four California URISA Chapters and the California Geographic Information Association have announced  CalGIS 2020 in Long Beach, February 9-11, 2020

Workshop and Presentation Proposals are invited. The submission deadline is September 23. Click here for details and online submission forms. 
GIS Certification News

GISCI recently released a revised blueprint for the Geospatial Core Technical Knowledge Exam ® for the GISP certification.   

The next exam will be offered December 7-14, 2019. It and subsequent exams will be based on the revised blueprint.
