PPP 2021: Application Forms Released
The US SBA and Treasury released borrower loan application forms for the rebooted Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which will launch Monday, January 11, 2021, initially for selected lenders and borrowers before a broader opening takes place a few days later.
1st Draw Applicants - January 11th open
2nd Draw Applicants - January 13th open.
The forms currently available are:
The SBA and Treasury also published top-line summaries of the first-draw and second-draw PPP, along with procedural notices.
PPP borrowers can have their first- and second-draw loans forgiven if the funds are used on the following eligible costs: payroll, rent, covered mortgage interest, and utilities, covered worker protection and facility modification expenditures, covered property damage costs, covered payments to suppliers and payments for business software or cloud computing services that facilitate business operations, product or service delivery, and a number of back-office functions, including accounting.
To be eligible for full loan forgiveness, PPP borrowers must spend no less than 60% of the funds on payroll over a covered period of their choice between eight and 24 weeks.
The document release came after the SBA and Treasury announced earlier Friday that the application window for $284 billion in PPP forgivable loans would reopen Monday initially for community financial institutions (CFIs) that serve minority- and women-owned businesses to make loans. Specifically, CFIs can begin making loans to first-time PPP borrowers on Monday and second-time PPP borrowers on Wednesday.
The SBA and Treasury said the PPP would open to all lenders a few days after the opening for CFIs, but they did not specify a date.

Some Bronx banks opened preliminary intake forms, informing applications may start being received January 17-18 (Ponce Bank. Ridgewood, etc) Please contact immediately your lender, professional accountant and prepare your documentation for submission.

Welcome to new business - Kings Sea Food, 675 Morris Park Avenue!
Seafood news at 675 #MorrisPark Avenue! Check out the new Kings Sea Food offering fish, calamari and shrimp dishes at the corner of Victor St and Morris Park Ave. A smart conversion move by the same ownership of the former Sweet Bites, as another sweets store is on the same block. We tried the $5 seafood soup - delicious!! With their outdoor space it will be a nice place to stop by as the weather improves.
Tree pits winter maintenance
Thanks to our partners at The Horticultural Society of New York, tree pits on Morris Park Avenue were cleaned and prepared for winter including new mulch, fall plant removal and soil aeration. The decorative kale still provides a pop of freshness and color to the corridor. We thank residents, especially pet owners, for helping maintaining cleanliness of our tree pits.
MPBID "Avenue NYC" program progress
In the framework of our "Avenue NYC" project, the MPBID conducted two more fresh produce distribution events on December 31, 2020 on White Plains Road and on January 7, 2021 on Morris Park Avenue. We also carried out extensive data collection including 427 consumer surveys and 275 merchant surveys, that will inform our "Community District Needs Assessment" report. Sincere thanks to "Loving The Bronx" for their partnership, allowing us to to offer all shoppers filling surveys boxes of free, fresh, farmers' market quality produce. Thank you Nilka Martell and all "Loving the Bronx" volunteers!
