From the Interim Minister
The New Beginnings small groups have finished their four weekly meetings.   In the next few days the group leaders will convene and pool their information from the meetings and put together a plan of action for the church board.   Those plans will then be presented to the congregation.   However, no final plan can be ready by June 10 for the congregational meeting.
Don't forget to sign-up for "Mosey Down Broadway IV" on June 7 featuring Jeff Goodspeed and Barry Kemble.   Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is requested so that Ruth Circle will know how many Hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and beverages to provide.   A free-will offering will be received.
The ecumenical Worship-in-the-Street will take place on July 1 at 10:00 a.m.   Plans are now in progress.   What is known at this writing is that Brown Street United Methodist, First Baptist, First Christian, St. John's Episcopal, and Trinity Methodist will be participating.   One or two more congregations may also join in the worship service.   Rev. Lisa Williams Hood will be bringing the morning message.
On July 8 Rachel Brink Conley of the Food Resource Bank will be our guest speaker at the 8:00 a.m. worship service.   She will then travel to Oxford to make the same presentation at the United Methodist Church there at 10:00 a.m.   We will have our usual service here at 10:15 a.m.   So if you want to hear about this year's FRB campaign, you will need to attend the early service.
Our agreement with the congregation is that Dorothy and I receive a week's vacation every three months.  We will be taking our first week a little late to celebrate our 60 th wedding anniversary with our family.  We will be out of town June 6 through June 12.  Our destination is Mackinac Island, Michigan.  Our Son and daughter will be joining us there.  Susan Lisak will preach and conduct the worship services on June 10.
I'll see you in church,  Pastor Hayes

Pastoral Search Committee
The pastoral search committee has started completing the Congregational Profile.   About half of the Profile is completed and we are currently waiting for the results of the New Beginnings program to complete the Profile.   I have also been gathering information for an Information Packet which will include information about FCC, the committee members, the community and schools in the area.   This Packet will be made available to potential candidates by way of a secured web site.
After the Profile and Information Packet are completed we will be ready to review the process and receive Pastoral Candidate Profiles that will be sent to us from the regional office.  We ask for your support, patience and prayers as we move forward.   Sandie Hauser
I would like to thank my FCC family for the Amazon gift card.  My open house is June 9th at Legacy Pub from 3-6pm.  Everyone is welcome.  It's located at 3230 Daugherty Dr. Lafayette.  (Corner of Veteran's Memorial and Concord Rd.  My future plans are to study at the University of Southern Indiana studying Kinesiology and eventually getting a Physical Therapy diploma. I will also be playing soccer for USI.  Thank you for all your support over the years.  Adam Schluttenhofer

Blessing Boxes will be received at Mosey Down Broadway. Blessing Boxes are a way to show your gratitude to God for His many blessings. Whenever you are thankful: for good health, for a phone call from a friend, a beautiful sunset, a safe journey... say a prayer of thanks, and drop a coin in your box.   Blessing Box funds go to Disciple's Missions. Among those are family and children's ministries, prevention of gun violence, anti-racism, refugee ministries, and response to disasters.
