FAMILY LAW DIVISION - CHANGES TO JUDICIAL ASSIGNMENTS
Effective September 4, 2018, the Central Family Law Division at Stanley Mosk Courthouse will implement the following change:
All matters assigned to Judge Armen Tamzarian, and calendared in Department 84 - WILL BE REASSIGNED to Judge Helen Zukin in Department 84 and shall remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set, unless otherwise notified.
Counsel and parties are instructed to identify the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all proposed orders lodged with the clerk, beneath the case number, to ensure proper distribution of documents.

LOS ANGELES SUPERIOR
PROBATE DIVISION - CHANGES TO JUDICIAL ASSIGNMENTS
Effective August 20, 2018, the Probate Division at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, implemented the following change:
Judge Michael C. Small reassigned from Dept 48 of Foltz Criminal Justice Center to Dept 5 of the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.

LOS ANGELES SUPERIOR
PERSONAL INJURY CASE ASSIGNMENT CHANGES
Effective August 1, 2018, if a personal injury case is assigned for trial to a judge that is not on 1 of 2 lists (see link below), then the parties have sixty (60) minutes after the matter is assigned to exercise a peremptory challenge pursuant to CCP Section 170.6
Additionally, effective August 1, 2018, the assignment of any personal injury case deemed "complicated" by one of the five Personal Injury Hub courtrooms and transferred to an Independent Calendar courtroom will be assigned for "all purposes except trial." Department 1 delegates to the judge of that Independent Calendar courtroom the authority to assign the personal injury case for trial to that Independent Calendar courtroom.

SAN FRANCISCO SUPERIOR
REDUCED CLERK'S HOURS
Effective October 22, 2018, all San Francisco Superior Court Clerks' Offices will close to the public at 2pm EVERYDAY.
This is a 2 hour reduction per day.
All clerks' offices are affected:
Civil Clerk's Office, 400 McAllister (Room 103)
Unified Family Clerk's Office, 400 McAllister (Room 402)
Criminal Clerk's Office, 850 Bryant (Room 101)
Traffic Clerk's Office, 850 Bryant (Room 145)
Juvenile Clerk's Office, 375 Woodside (Room 101)
All clerks' offices will be open from 8:30am to 2pm
Drop boxes will be available outside each main entrance of all clerks' offices between 2pm and 4pm.
Documents received in a drop box by 4pm will be processed with a same-day filing date.

COURT HOLIDAY - LABOR DAY
This Monday, September 3,
ALL STATE & FEDERAL COURTS will be closed in observance of Labor Day.
DDS LEGAL will be closed.
Normal, daily-route service resumes Tuesday, September 4.
