Do Not Worry
Matthew 6:25-34

Celebrating Our 3rd Graders

What a special weekend in worship as we presented our third graders with a new Bible! Presenting Bibles to third graders is a long standing tradition in the United Methodist Church. We hope that they will not only learn how to read Scripture, but they will be able to use their knowledge of the Bible in order to deepen their faith and relationship with God.
College Care Ministry

We are happy to partner with UMW Journeys Circle this year to ensure all of our college students are cared for and loved by their KUMC family.

New this year:
* All packages will be mailed by the church

* All will be the small flat rate box in the picture. Two packages per year - Fall and Spring

* If you have adopted a student in the past and would like to continue with that same student, please contact Kim Kuhlman by October 1.

Freshman and returning college students should have already been contacted. If you have a student you would like included in this ministry or you want more information,  click for details!  Student info forms must be returned by  September 20.
Grief and Spirituality
September 18-October 2

Those facing loss of any kind will discover steps that lead to a way forward. We can live life again. Loss of a loved one is not the end of us. Those facing loss will learn how to listen to "their inner self". Folks will receive helpful information to guide them. This is not a therapy group. It's a safe place. Learning "user friendly" steps through the grief process. Facilitated by Pastor Jim and Eldon Reynolds. Please RSVP to  Victoria Wilson so we will know you are joining us! We will meet in DAC 417 from 6:30-7:30pm.
Why Join UMW?

As we approach United Methodist Women's Weekend September 21-22, we will share stories from current members on what it means to be part of this organization!

Hear from Corinne Green and Mary Yarborough.

Children's Ministries
Acolyte Training

Our next Acolyte Ministry training opportunity is September 22! Children in third- sixth grade serve in worship by bringing light into the services, assisting with the offering and extinguishing the candles at the end of the service. If you are interested in participating in this important ministry, make plans to attend training. We will explain the role of the acolyte and practice with you. You'll also be given an Acolyte Guidebook to review with your parents. We'll meet in the Sanctuary from 4-5:30pm.
Children's Choir

Rehearsals have resumed for children's choir for kindergarten-6th graders. It's not too late join us on Wednesday nights from 6-6:45pm in FLC 204 and 206. Students will work on special music to be part of worship as well as a children's Christmas musical in December. We will take new members until September 25 (we want to allow adequate time to work together and learn the music!)
