Drive safely as kids go back to school
The Town of Oakville has partnered with Halton Regional Police Service to remind drivers about school zone safety and parking.

Dropping off and picking up students in school areas can cause extra traffic congestion and create a safety risk. Illegally stopping or parking your car in a school zone makes it hard for other drivers to see pedestrians, particularly children, crossing the street.

Please remember to respect the No Parking and No Stopping areas, obey the pedestrian crossover rules and do not obstruct sidewalks, crosswalks, driveways or fire routes.

Officers who patrol school areas will be enforcing parking regulations and issuing tickets to illegally stopped or parked vehicles.
