Dr. Ricardo Machado-Torres
Dr. Machado-Torres was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He earned a B.S. in Biology and graduated with cum laude distinction from the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus. His Medical Doctor degree is from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Mexico.
Dr. Machado performed his internship at Hospital de la Concepcion San German Puerto Rico, and he possesses a Certification of Added Qualification on Wound Care and Hyperbaric Certification from the American Board of Wound Healing.
Dr. Machado has a primary care office with his wife, Dr. Cosmarie Cortes, in Añaco, Puerto Rico. He also works at Hospital Buen Samaritano, Hospital San Carlos Borromeo and Hospital Perea, Hospital Bella Vista, and Mayaguez Medical Center.
Dr. Machado serves as Medical Director and Liason for Somebody Cares Puerto Rico and is a member of Catacumba 5, the church that facilitates SCPR. During Hurricanes Maria and Irma, Dr. Machado worked directly with the church and SCPR in relief efforts.
