REMINDERS
  • The Woodland Math Club will meet twice a month on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 beginning Sept. 10. Math club is open to all 7th and 8th grade students interested in a challenging, rewarding, and fun math experience! As participants in the Woodland Math Club, students will have the opportunity to participate in MathCounts competitions. MathCounts is the sponsor of the National Math Club Program that includes school clubs and math competitions. More info about MathCounts can be found at www.mathcounts.org. Please see Mrs. Weishaar in room D-2 or your math teacher for more information about Math Club.
  • After-school Robotics Club starts Tues., Sept. 10. Students can come between 3:30 and 4:30 to work on their competitve robotics team or to join and start a new team! Robotics meets every Tuesday after school in room C-7.
  • Attention chess players! Chess Club will meet weekly on Fridays at 7:30 a.m. beginning this week in Mr. Petrone's room (A-8). Chess Club is open to anyone who likes chess. You can come anytime between 7:30 and 8:15, and you do not have to come every week. Students can enter the door at the end of A-hall.
  • It's time for the fall season of Girls on the Run! 7th and 8th grade girls are invited to join. They'll meet Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and do fun activities, have snacks, and walk/run on the track. Students can see Ms. McClure in room B-5 for an application.
  • The Woodland Talent Show will be held Fri., Nov. 22. Tryout dates ware to be announced. Students can pick up a talent show entry form in the office. Entry forms are due back to Mrs. Dean's room (D-6) by Oct. 11.
  • NJHS will have its first meeting Sept. 10 during lunch in D-1.
  • Fall picture retakes and club pictures will be Fri., Oct. 11.
Come Cheer on Volleyball!

The Woodland volleyball teams will face Shiloh this evening (1707 Johnson Rd., Springdale). Although there are no B games, all athletes and other students are encouraged and welcome to attend!

Tomorrow, they will take on Siloam Springs at Woodland. 7B will play at 4:15, 8B at 4:45, 7A at 5:30, and 8A at 6:30.
