The Demand for Engineers

Engineering is one of the hottest fields in the country! Many companies simply cannot function without engineers. Engineering has historically seen demand, but currently, the need for industrial engineering talent is reaching a fever pitch.

The need for engineers continues to rise with demand the highest in Michigan, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Florida.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of industrial engineers is projected to grow 10 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations. Hiring managers are looking for talent, and professionals are finding overwhelming opportunities on the job market. In addition, growth in healthcare and changes in how healthcare is delivered will create demand for industrial engineers in firms in professional, scientific, and consulting services.

According to PayScale, an industrial engineer can get an average pay level somewhere between $49,996 and $88,259, and the average salary for an industrial engineer is
$65,010.

Systems engineers are in high demand by industry and government.  While systems engineering is nothing new, many industries are now encountering a growing need for it.  Salary.com states the average base salary of a  systems engineer  is $70,372 with a salary range usually between $61,331- $78,055; however this can vary widely depending on a variety of factors.
  Are engineers in demand?   Absolutely.
