The annual 4-H Achievement Awards program has been set for October 6 at 2pm at the Clinton Memorial Building.

2018 Fall Leader Training

The 2018 annual Fall Leaders Training will be held on October 28 in Lac qui Parle County.

2018 State Fair results are now available!

Congratulations to those youth that competed at the 2018 Minnesota State Fair!

4-H'ers headed to the Minnesota 4-H State Shoot!

Big Stone County 4-H'ers will be competing in numerous events at the Minnesota 4-H State Shoot in Fairmont, MN.

2018-2019 4-H Federation Officers elected

The 2018 -2019 4-H Federation officers were elected during the August 20th 4-H Federation meeting.

Re-enrollment for the 2018-2019 4-H program year will open mid-September.

Interim 4-H State Leader Jennifer A. Skuza reflects on her long history with 4-H and University of Minnesota Extension. She invites 4-H youth, families and volunteers to connect with her at the Minnesota State Fair.
 
If you're going to the state fair, don't forget to download the NEW 4-H at the Minnesota State Fair app! You'll be able to find everything 4-H at the fair, keep up with judging results and livestock show staging announcements, and much more.
 
Apply today to be a youth member on a state fair livestock show committee
Youth on state fair show committee - apply today to become a youth member on a state fair show committee. This is for youth in grades 9 through one year post high school. Apply by Sept. 15 for a position starting in early October.
 
Registration for Citizenship Washington Focus, a week-long trip to Washington, DC, will open in fall 2018 for the summer 2019 experience. Youth gain civic engagement skills while touring DC with youth from across the US! Complete a short survey to receive a reminder email when registration material is posted.
 
Volunteers give much to the Minnesota 4-H program! Consider nominating an outstanding volunteer for a 2019 4-H Salute to Excellence Award. All nomination materials are due by Sept. 15, 2018.

Fall 2018 SS&W leader certification training materials are now posted! Adults and youth (9th grade and older) are invited to attend this Sept. 29-30 training at the Gopher Campfire Conservation Club in Hutchinson. Be prepared for the new 4-H year with trained volunteers - register by Sept 12!

Powerful things happen for youth when they're in a positive relationship with caring adults. The 2018 annual volunteer training, "4-H Grows Relationships," will ready youth and adult volunteers to connect to young people in meaningful ways. Watch for dates and locations across the state this fall and plan to bring a team of youth and adult volunteers.
