KRS Room Parent Update
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to be a Room Parent this year!
We are still in need of volunteers for 1M & 3S.
This is a great way to get involved in your child's class. Please email Erin Egan at [email protected] if you are interested. All other classes are filled. Thank you!

KRS Open House
Thursday, August 30th
1:30 - 2:30pm
Parents and children are invited to come tour their classrooms and meet their teachers. School supplies ordered through the PTO fundraiser will be available for your child in their classroom.
Tours of the school for new students and their families will be held
immediately
prior to the event from 1 - 1:30pm.
There will also be a PTO sponsored shaved ice truck outside the school for the kids!

To kick off the school year, the PTO is hosting this get-together for new parents to meet current and past PTO board members, current room parents and other PTO volunteers. It's a great way to meet parents who have been through it all at KRS! Siblings are welcome if they are not in school.

This is a parents-only event where you will tour your children's classrooms, meet the teachers, and learn about the curriculum for the year. Often teachers will use this night as an opportunity for parents to sign up for classroom events, conferences and more, so be sure to let your child's teacher know if you cannot attend.

Save the date for this fun adult social! Now in its 3rd year, this is a great social opportunity to meet other KRS parents. It's a laid back night of great food, music and drinks! This is an adults-only event.

For Returning Students:
Purchasing a KRS shirt is optional, as you can continue to use last year's shirt. But, you can purchase a new shirt if you'd like!
For New Students:
Please purchase the KRS shirt that coincides with your child(ren)'s grade. See website for more info.

Garden Preparation
Please join us in helping to make sure the first day of school is enjoyed by all students, staff and parents. We will be meeting on Sunday, September 2nd from 10:30am - 12:30pm to beautify the school grounds. Bring work gloves and small shovels to help weed. The vegetable garden has been thriving all summer, thanks to parent volunteers, so you can harvest some vegetables to take home with you while there!

Make your voice heard and get the latest Madison School District news at the Board of Education meetings. Meetings are held in the
Alice Perlaw Library Media Center of the Madison High School located at 170 Ridgedale Avenue. The next meeting is:
