PTA Reflections 2018-2019 Theme"Heroes Around Me"

That's the theme for the 2018-2019 Reflections Art Program which has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969.
Reflections encourages students of all ages to:
  • Unleash creative talents and be inspired
  • Express themselves imaginatively in their artwork
  • Experience the fun and joy of making art
  • Tap into critical-thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme
Receive positive recognition for their original works of art

Your students are invited to participate and submit original artwork in one of six areas:
  • Dance Choreography
  • Literature
  • Photography
  • Film Production
  • Music Composition
  • Visual Arts
Please encourage your child to start thinking about what they may like to create and submit for next years theme! Here is the link to learn more information about the program.

PTA Needs you!
Weaver PTA is in the mist of planning for the upcoming year and has some exciting events planned. In order for all the fun and academic experiences that Weaver students are able to participate in, we need Committee Chairs to assist in running these programs. The majority of positions have been filled but we are still looking for a few more. If you are interested in getting more involved in the Weaver community, we look forward to hearing from you. Please contact Vicky Vu at [email protected] if you are interested or need further information. Thank you.

Chairs needed for:
Red Ribbon Week- Chair will help pick a theme and coordinate school wide red ribbon week to raise drug awareness.
Reflections- To coordinate the Student Art Contest at Weaver.
STEAM Fair- To coordinate display of students for STEAM fair. Will work with LAEF on coordination. Also, coordinate a science based guest presenter for the school.
Winkos- Coordinate volunteers to help with all the copying for teachers that need to be throughout the year.

It's time to register or re-register your Ralph's card!

Did you know that Weaver benefits from the shopping you do every day? If you or someone you know shops at Ralph's, it's easy to get money back for our school. Simply register your Ralph's card at  www.ralphs.com or call  800-443-4438. But remember, you MUST re-register every September even if you have registered before. Be sure to get family and friends to register too!
