Thank You Huskies & Malamutes Unleashed
|
We are so thankful to have been chosen by one of our donors, Alison Strong, from the UK to receive a portion of the donations from a GoFundMe for the leader of Huskies & Malamutes Unleashed, Karen Clifford, so she could get a memorial/statue made of her first husky Mystie, who she recently lost.
"Karen Clifford started Huskies & Malamutes Unleashed Facebook Group with her gorgeous PawPack of 4 Huskies. Mystie was the first followed by Thunder, Sassafras and not forgetting Lycan. Many friendships have been started due to this group.
What better way of continuing Mystie's legacy than to show how much Mystie means to you by donating so that Karen and her family can get a small memorial/statute made for Mystie as well as 2 charities (1 in UK, 1 in USA) benefitting from your generous donations.
Mystie showed her loved to the world it is now our time to return it by helping other Huskies/Malamutes in need."

Mulan's First Trip to the Beach
|
Shadow Husky Rescue received an update on Mulan who was a medical emergency husky with a compound broken leg that was brought to us at our PetSmart Adoptions a couple of months ago! Her adopter Wendy from Oregon took her and her brother Coco, another Adopted Husky from us, to the beach today for the first time! This is so precious to see after the hell she went through with that broken leg!!
We are so grateful for everyone that donated to help with her medical costs! If you would like to help our rescue be prepared for emergency unexpected costs like this, tax deductible donations can be sent to our PayPal at masterwolf@shadowhuskyrescue.com or by clicking the button below!

Comet is a 2 yr old male husky who was rescued from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles. As Comet is very fearful, he went to a live-in training program to help him gain confidence. His fear is deeply ingrained and he will need a very patient, compassionate human(s) who is dog-dedicated and can provide a stable environment for him to thrive. Comet is fearful of boisterous people and places, so he would do best in a quiet household with no small children, preferably outside an urban environment. Once he trusts someone, he stays by their side. Comet loves other playful, gentle dogs and would do even better in a household with another dog. He needs a human(s) with a flexible schedule, as he will not do well staying home alone for 8+ hours a day. As well, he needs a home with a secure, high, dig-proof fenced in yard. Comet is being fostered in Oxnard, California. His adopters should be open to learning and maintaining his training method, as this will help his transition/integration into a new household. Comet will always be a fearful dog, but with the right human and home, he can become more and more confident in the world. Comet is most confident and comes furthest out of his shell when he is frolicking on the dog beach. He suddenly becomes a different dog. So, a home near a dog beach would be his dream forever home!

He is in between three and four and 77 pounds. He loves children but is very skittish of adults because he was abused by one as a puppy. He also loves other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. Bruce has to go to a family that has children and another dog. It takes him time to warm up to the adults but eventually he does. He will be skittish around adults even after he warms up. Bruce is a runner. He has bolted from our house a couple of times and the kids are the only ones that can wrangle him back. He is fast. Your fencing must be at least 6 feet high. If you or your children run he would love to go with you.

Sunny is a 3 yr old male husky mix looking for his forever home. He is good with adults and would be best in a home without kids. He could be good with large breed dogs that are not dominant but he would be best as the only dog or with really calm other dogs.
