A Note from the Word of Life Principal 
Thank you all for your prayers and support as I considered the call to serve as Principal at Word of Life Lutheran School! I feel very blessed to be part of this ministry and felt even more blessed as many of you shared your encouragement and support of my change in position. I began teaching at Word of Life four years ago as the 6th grade homeroom and science teacher. Last year, I moved from this position into the 8th grade homeroom as middle school math teacher. Parenting Class
Parents- Prepare your kids for the biggest challenges of life! The Building Character study will provide you with the tools you need to raise kids who can survive a hostile culture, minimize the hassles of parenting, and instill character traits that a child needs to turn out right. Based on the book, Raising Kids Who Turn Out Right, Building Character will give you the confidence to raise kids who flourish in their culture by building character for life. New class begins August 26 during Bible Study hour. To register, email Marjorie at [email protected].

Budget 2019: Your input is needed! If you are a ministry leader, you should receive an email from Treasurer Marjorie Schmeerbauch with a budget request form. Budget Request forms can also be found in the Narthex. Requests must be submitted to the church office by Monday, October 1.

LASM Summer Lunch & Learn
Are you enjoying the lazy days of summer? Or does a busy summer schedule make you roll your eyes at that question? Sink into further summer relaxation or take a break from the summer chaos with our next Lunch & Learn! We'll be joined by guest speakers, Mary Million and Michelle Wamser from Lutheran Senior Services. Mary, the organization's Faith Community Nurse will present on Christian meditation and relaxation techniques. Michelle, the organization's Director of Service Coordination, will share important information on Lutheran Senior Services' Aging Answers program and Eliezer fund.
