COMMITTEE UPDATES
AGHP Committees are active. Here?s a quick look at what our committees are doing right now.

Rope Access Committee
The mission of the Rope Access Committee is to develop a protective approach to rope access work that accounts for the discontinuous, naturally occurring rock masses which AGHP members need to access and to develop appropriate guidelines, training, and slope hazard assessment protocols to ensure our members are able to safely perform rope access activities.

The Rope Access Committee has undertaken the tasks of preparing a position document on single rope use for slope access, developing a slope assessment procedure, and providing rope access resources to AGHP members. In addition, progress is being made towards developing a comprehensive guideline for single rope slope access techniques.

The committee is also working to provide information on single rope slope access techniques by developing a resource page on the AGHP website. Currently, the committee has proposed to list organizations that have provided rope access training in the past. The committee is also assembling manuals and guidebooks which have been used by AGHP members.

AGHP Committees
The AGHP Committees need your input! Please consider becoming a member and joining one of the following committees: Anchor Testing, Education, Post Anchoring, Rope Access, and Standards and Specifications.
