Linn County Communities Develop Disaster Plans Over the last several months, a new Community Foundation effort has facilitated disaster planning in non-metro Linn County communities. On August 8, the Disaster Preparation Project brought four such communities together to discuss ways they could build resiliency together.

Celebrating a Vision of Perpetual Support On June 11, the Community Foundation honored over 120 local philanthropists at the annual William Quarton Heritage Society Luncheon. The event, led by Board Chair Amy Lynch, highlighted the philanthropic efforts of Darrell and Dorothy Fisher and celebrated those who are committed to our communitys future.

New Events Will Replace Celebration of Community Event After six wonderful years, the annual Celebration of Community will be replaced by two new events. The Nonprofit Party at the Museum, on November 7, will recognize the work of local nonprofit professionals. The Community Learning Series, which launched in May, will offer a flexible setting for community members, organizations and donors to learn and collaborate.
