Leafcycling -- An Idea Whose Time Has Come
You've adjusted to smart phones and mastered Netflix. So it should be easy to adjust to another life-improving technology -- Leafcycling.

Fall leaves are a valuable resource that many homeowners let go to waste by having them blown into piles on the street (where they can become a danger to drivers) or raked into brown landscaping bags which are then stacked curb-side and left for eventual pick-up.

With a mulching mower you can shred your leaves where they are on the lawn; use shredded leaves as a winter mulch on landscape beds; collect shredded leaves in compost piles; or simply leave your leaves under the trees if you live in a wooded area. These are all examples of using nature's own method of turning old leaves into nutrient-rich soil.

Leaf cycling is also an opportunity to create organic matter for you lawn, ornamental and vegetable beds. Learn more here.
