Visit Campus during Virginia Private College Week July 23 - 28 
The Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV) hosts Virginia Private College Week July 23 - 28. Prospective students and their families are invited to visit the campuses of 24 private colleges, including Virginia Wesleyan University, and receive three application fee waivers while learning about the quality and affordability of private higher education. Welcome Aboard! 
The college journey began for incoming freshmen in the Class of 2022 on June 22 and 25 during Marlin Nation Orientation. Students and their families participated in sessions that helped to prepare them for life on campus this fall. More    
Faculty-led Travel to Barcelona   
Sara Sewell, professor of history and executive director of The Lighthouse: Center for Exploration and Discovery and the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), traveled to Barcelona, Spain this summer with fourteen rising sophomores in the first cohort of the Batten Honors College. More 
    
 
Drees Selected to Teach at Harlaxton College for Summer 2019
VWU Professor of History Clay Drees has been chosen from among professors nationwide to teach a course on "Tudor England" as part of a six-week summer 2019 institute at Harlaxton College in Lincolnshire, England. More
