Seeing the Sacred in All Things
Presented by: Reverend Michael Moran
Synopsis: The Jewish Talmud observes that we do not see things simply as they are. Rather, we are conditioned to seeing things as we are. It's not that we can't see the world as God sees it but rather that we lack the mental discipline. This Sunday Reverend Michael Moran reveals spiritual methods from the East and West that help us open our inner eye. This inner eye is tuned to seeing the sacred in all things. It is the "eye of the soul".
"... I am the eye by which they see; I am the ear by which they hear."
AVP is a training program enabling participants to deal with potentially violent situations in new and creative ways. The process opens people to experience compassion and empathy, then teaches communications and conflict skills to bridge differences.

Please join us after the service on Sunday, May 20 for our annual meeting. The meeting starts at 12PM. The annual meeting is an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and preview the year ahead. A potluck will precede the meeting so bring a dish to share.
