Fitness Center Entrance CLOSED Through December
The main entrance (Member Services entrance) to the Phil Sokolof Fitness Center is now temporarily closed for renovation work. This temporary closure is estimated to last until late December. Learn more.
During this time, all individuals coming to our facility MUST:
  • Enter through the Southwest Entrance / Entrance 1
  • Bring your Membership ID card
  • Use the parking lots on west side of campus, closest to Entrance 1

Change to Minor Policy Now In Effect
Due to COVID-19 and school closures, we are re-instating the JCC Minor Usage policy. This policy states:

No member under the age of 16 years will be able to use JCC facilities unless they are
1) accompanied by a parent OR
2) registered for an existing JCC program, which includes; swim lessons, dance lessons, piano lessons, JCC basketball league, and/or youth department programs
3) have a private, semi-private, or small group session with a personal trainer

Friendly Reminder: Masks Are Required
Per the citywide mask mandate, The Staenberg Omaha JCC requires all individuals to wear a face-covering while inside the building. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • the time immediately before and after your workout
  • while moving around the building
  • while using the locker rooms
  • while observing your children in programs
  • while using the pool deck
  • upon entry and exit to our facility

We will have masks available if you forget yours. Masks are not required while you are actively engaging in physical activity within the fitness center, group exercise studios, gymnasium, while in the water of the indoor pool, or while showering. For dance classes, masks are required for all participating students, ages 5 and up. All participants in Kid Group Exercise classes must wear masks.

The Indoor Aquatic Center is Open
The indoor lap pool, Baker Family Leisure Pool, and new family changing area are now open. A full listing of hours can be found on our website.

Please remember that reservations* are currently required for leisure pool use on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend reservations can be made via our website and will open roughly 48 hours in advance. Please review the schedule carefully. Click here to make your reservation.
*Reservations for Saturday times open at 10 a.m. the Thursday prior. Sunday reservations open at 10 a.m. the Friday prior. Designated time slots available for weekend reservations are as listed on the website. Each reservation time can accommodate 80 members. Please bring your membership card and confirmation email with you. You will receive TWO email confirmations. One will have a bar code to be scanned and one will have check in procedures. Check in with a Member Services associate.
Red Cross Babysitter Training

JCC Lions Basketball Program | 3rd-8th grade
JCC Lions Basketball is open to boys and girls in 3rd -8th grade. Our program will help you improve and polish your skills with proper offensive and defensive fundamentals.

Little Lions Basketball | K-2nd grade
Little Lions is open to boys and girls in K-2nd grade. Individual and Team registrations are available. Games will be played on-site, against other basketball clubs through our JCC Little Lions League. Practices will be on Tuesday or Wednesday and games will played on Saturday or Sundays.

School Break Specials offer daily registration options for Members and Non Members in K-7th grade who are out of school. Kids will participate in all sorts of fun activities. Music Studios & Dance Lobby Open
The new lobby area in the Marlene & Marty Staenberg Arts & Education Corridor is now open. This beautiful new space allows parents to observe a video feed of their child's dance class on easily viewable television monitors. Our new music studios, also located in the Performing Arts area are now open. These dedicated spaces will provide greatly improved acoustics for all those participating in musical training. New Family Changing Area Now Open
The new family changing area located just off of the indoor aquatic center is now open! This space features five large and private stalls. Each stall is complete with a sink, soap and paper towels, toilet, shower, and diaper changing station. Lockers and additional sinks are located in the main area of the changing area as well. It is available to all families using the Baker Family Leisure Pool or lap pool. Take a virtual tour of this space here.
Limited Use of Men's Health Spa
Limited use of the new Men’s Health Spa* is available! The locker room area within the Men's Health Spa will be available for all male members to use until renovation work on the Women's facilities is completed. All female members will temporarily use the new downstairs Men's Locker Room until the renovation of the Women's facilities is complete.
