YOUTH SEWING
THIS
SUMMER!!!

We are pleased to offer the following classes for anyone between the ages of 10 and 14 who would like to learn how to sew while they are on their summer break
.

Teacher: Diane Juskelis
Date: Monday, July 16
Time: 1pm - 3pm
Continue your sewing journey by learning to make a small tote bag (13 inches by 14 inches). You can use this bag for a multitude of uses (carrying books, supplies, or items for weekend or overnight trips). You'll learn how to read a pattern, cut the fabric and then sew it all together. Bring your own machine or let us know if you need to use one of ours.
We will be using the book "I Sew For Fun by Nancy Zieman" for all youth sewing classes this summer. This book is loaded full of quick, easy patterns for your young sewists. You can use the applique design in the book, or bring a picture that's better fits your style.

Youth Sewing - Two Block Quilt
Teacher: Diane Juskelis
Date: Monday, July 30 & August 13
Time: 1 PM - 3 PM
You will learn to make a small lap sized quilt to keep you warm during the fall and winter! You'll learn how to read a pattern, cut the fabric, and then sew it all together. Bring your own machine or let us know if you need to use one of ours.

Quilts of Valor
Date: Thursdays,

Time: 2pm-5pm
A Quilt of Valor is our award to those who have been touched by war. It says "thank you for your service, sacrifice and valor" in serving our nation. If you would like to participate in this local sewing group, please join us on any or all dates to work on your own Quilt of Valor or to assist others with their quilts.

Pieceful Pines

Ditty Bag
Teacher: Jean Starr
If you have wanted to make a zippered bag but have been intimidated, this is the class for you! Choose from one of three sizes of Ditty bags and join this class to learn how simple it is to do! After learning the basics of quilted bags, you can move on to making traveler's bag, voyager bag or beyond.

Simple Whatnots

Come join the Kim Diehl "Simply Whatnots Club". Each month you will receive a new pattern for a great small quilt and have access to her "Helping Hands Prints and Plaids" fabric line from Henry Glass fabrics. There will be a new kit for each month's quilt for you to purchase. Another great feature is each month you will receive a pattern for "Pride and Joy", a stitch along block of the month which is Kim's featured "big" quilt for the club.

Do you want to learn quick easy digitizing projects? If so this is the class for you. We will meet each month and learn to digitize a new complete project using 6D or Premier+ software. Come join Jane as she guides you through the software modules necessary for these projects.

Moving on with Free Motion Quilting

Did you enjoy taking the Free-Motion Quilting (moving beyond stippling) class? Well then, you will enjoy this monthly class where you will gain more confidence as you follow the designs handed out each month. We will begin by tracing with pencil and paper and then once the muscle memory is learned, we will take our skills to our sewing machines.
It is highly recommended that you take the Free-Motion Quilting (moving beyond stippling) class before enrolling in this class.

Escape to Sew
