Have You Renewed for Safe Sanctuary?

Safety of our children and youth at KUMC is a high priority. Our policy, Safe Sanctuary, requires periodic global renewals. If you completed training between 2015-2017 you need to renew prior to October 31, 2018 to avoid resubmitting references. After that date you will have to complete the entire process and will not be eligible to serve until completed. We need you! If you have questions about the process, including whether or not you are eligible, contact Victoria Wilson. If you have questions about the policy itself, contact Melanie Grice. For more on Safe Sanctuary and the process, click here!
Another Great VBS!

A BIG thanks to all the adults and youth who volunteered their time and talents the last couple of weeks for VBS, making it a HUGE success! What a great week we had with over 550 kids and over 200 volunteers coming together to celebrate and share God's love for all people. Thank you to all the children who brought all the fun and excitement! We are so very grateful for these kids and their families who raised $2,827.60 providing 94 families in Haiti access to clean water and brought in a boat load of food donations for the new Resource Center! Thank you to all the volunteers for their commitment, dedication, and desire to share God's love. VBS ministry cannot exist without you!

As we explore the Art of Discipleship and our palette of Pray, Worship, Give, Serve and Witness, how would you determine the colors of activities listed? We gave you a couple...how would you color other items on our faith canvas?

Philippians 1:3-11

No matter our age and stage of life, we all have people in our lives who can learn from us. Connecting God's family means not only seeking wise mentors for ourselves, but also pouring ourselves and what we know into others. How can you offer God's love and your wisdom to another person?

Want to Get Connected?

Sunday, July 15, 5:30-7pm, DAC 410, come hear about who we are at KUMC and what it means to join with us. This is a time for people who are looking to join with us officially or get more information on ways to connect. There will be an official time to unite with us through baptism or church membership at the end of the event if you so desire.
Susanna Wesley House

We have renamed the building behind the Hallelujah Center, previously known as Little White House and Meeting Place at various times. It will now be known as Susanna Wesley House in honor of the mother of John and Charles Wesley. Current plans for the building include a pick-up site for Meals on Wheels, UMW meeting space and storage for various ministries.
