Congratulations to the Ray-Pec High School football team on winning its first Class 6 championship! Ray-Pec defeated DeSmet 23-0 on Nov. 28. This was Ray-Pec's 4th state championship. The Panthers were Class 5 champions in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
Spectator guidelines for winter activities

Important information about attendance and ticketing at winter sporting events! The Ray-Pec School District, in conjunction with the Greater Kansas City Suburban Gold Conference, has developed a plan to proceed with winter sports and activities prioritizing the safety of students, staff, and families.

Expectations at ALL home events:
  1. Face coverings must be worn at all times (coaches, staff, and spectators)
  2. Social distancing of 6 feet is required. Taped locations show where to sit.
  3. No concession stands. You may bring unopened, screw-top type water bottles only.
Attendance is limited, and tickets are not available for the general public. For high school home basketball games and wrestling matches, each player and coach will be allowed two spectators. For middle school home basketball games, players will be allowed two spectators. For middle school home wrestling matches, participants will be allowed one spectator. Protocols at away events will vary. Ray-Pec coaches and athletes will follow the protocol at the host venue.

Streaming
Many home events will be streamed on the Ray-Pec Activities YouTube Channel.

Coaches will share information with student athletes about streaming of away games and sub-varsity games.
Today, Friday, Dec. 4, is deadline to request change

For second semester, would you like to request a change in your student's method of instruction?

Today, Friday, Dec. 4, is the deadline to place a request for your student to move from In-Person to ViPR or ViPR to In-Person.

The Virtual Instruction Program of Ray-Pec offers all-virtual classes.

In-person students attend Monday through Friday for Early Childhood and grades K-5, and follow an A/B schedule for grades 6-12.

Deadline
Requests are due no later than Dec. 4 (TODAY) for your student to be considered for a change of placement at the start of 2nd semester.

While every attempt will be made to grant the requests, no guarantees can be made until all requests are received.  Entry will be based on class size and teacher availability.

For grades K-5:
Email the attendance secretary at your child's school of residence to request an eForm. Please complete the eForm no later than Dec. 4.
For grades 6-12:
Please submit your request by email to the designated contact below.
Provide input on the 2020-2021 calendar

What's most important to you on the school calendar? The District Calendar Committee is currently constructing a draft calendar for the 2021-2022 school year. A brief survey asks for input on various calendar topics. The survey link closes at the end of day today, Friday, Dec. 4.

This information will help the committee propose a calendar that supports the needs of students, staff, and parents.
