Throughout the summer, many students and families will be going with the Gospel to serve people in need. Mr. Miller has compiled a full list of students being sent out so that the LPA community can be praying over their trips; to view this list, click here.

Graduation Rehearsal
Many have worked hard to prepare for Lake Pointe's 10th commencement ceremony. The strings class held an extend and full practice Monday afternoon, and graduates and parents participated in a quick rehearsal Thursday night. Afterwards, they joined LPA staff and administration for a time of celebration and fellowship at Lily's Bistro.

LPA Think Tank
Secondary students spent an afternoon brainstorming ideas for next year's student life events. Among many other ideas, students discussed ways to help foster community and more intentionally teach life skills through student life events.

A Lesson in Perseverance
From the book The Glorious Flight: Across the Channel by Alice Provensen and Martin Provensen, Mrs. DeSa's second graders learned about the perseverance and ingenuity of aviator Louis BlĂ©riot, who was the first person to fly across the English Chanel. Students then challenged their own ingenuity by creating paper airplanes designs.

Ancient Celebration
First graders commemorate their year of studying ancient history by learning about the Jewish holidays that where established throughout that time period. A big thanks to Marci Coulter who help lead the festive activities.
