Instant Decision Day

High school seniors who are still undecided about their education plans for the fall and adults who are interested in pursuing a new career path are invited to attend an Instant Decision Day at RVCC on July 24. The event will be held in the Conference Center at the College's Branchburg campus.

Participants may attend any time from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; however, those attending are asked to register in advance and give themselves plenty of time to complete the admissions process. Instant Decision Day makes it easy for prospective students to take the first steps toward enrolling in classes for the Fall Semester. In one session participants may:
  • apply online for free
  • meet with an admissions specialist
  • submit admissions documentation
  • take any necessary placement tests
  • explore financial aid options & tuition payment plans
  • tour the campus
  • learn about transfer opportunities and student services
  • schedule an appointment to register for classes

Fall Semester classes begin August 29.

General, Career, Adult Information Sessions

Learn about all RVCC has to offer and how to enroll for the Fall Semester by attending an Information Session in July. The College is offering general Information Sessions as well as special sessions for adults and those interested in its Automotive, Cosmetology and Esthetics (Skin Care) career programs.

NJ State Governor's Jefferson Award

The students of RVCC's award-winning Service Learning Program have been honored with the 2018 New Jersey State Governor's Jefferson Award for their extraordinary volunteer service to the community. The prestigious award annually highlights the spirit of civic engagement among New Jersey's 1.5 million volunteers and awards medals in 22 categories of volunteer service. The RVCC students were honored in the "Youth Volunteer Group" category.

New Transfer Agreements

RVCC has signed new transfer agreements with Thomas Edison State University and La Salle University.

The agreement with Thomas Edison allows eligible RVCC nursing students to enroll in Thomas Edison's RN-BSN or RN-BSN/MSN degree programs and transfer up to 90 credits toward their undergraduate degree at the university. They also may earn 12 credits toward their master's degree at Thomas Edison at the undergraduate tuition rate.

The agreement with La Salle provides a variety of scholarships for RVCC graduates, including merit scholarships ranging from $4,000-$11,000. It also offers a seamless transfer of credits for RVCC graduates who pursue a bachelor's degree at the Philadelphia-based university.

Summer Classes for Kids & Teens Registration Still Open

It's not too late to register kids and teens for RVCC summer programs. Classes run through August 17. The College offers programs in such areas as test preparation and enrichment, fine and performing arts, and writing.

July Shows and Concerts

The July offerings at the RVCC Planetarium include star shows, laser concerts, a special program for Harry Potter lovers, and a presentation that lets audiences "experience" a rocket launch.
