We hope you are all healthy. We have a tentative open date of May 18th. As we prepare for reopening the facility, we would like to go over new procedures we will follow in order to provide the safest environment for our customers, employees and referees. While we know these can feel inconvenient and restrictive, we want to protect our hockey community as best we can.

Upon reopening the following procedures will be in place.

Adult League Games:

  1. All players, employees and refs must have a mask on when entering the building and must continue to wear until in the locker rooms.
  2. No spectators allowed at this time.
  3. Players can enter 30 minutes before their game start time. If you show up before, we will ask you to wait in your car.
  4. Once inside, your temperature will be checked. If you display a fever, you will not be allowed to participate and you will be asked to leave, with no refunds provided.
  5. If you do not have a fever, we will sanitize your hands and you can move along to your designated locker rooms and remove your mask.
  6. Once inside the locker rooms, you will not be allowed to congregate outside to watch games.
  7. Once your games have finished, you can exit on the Barn side exit or the Pond side exit, to minimize the amount of traffic in the lobby.
  8. If you need to drop off your skates to be sharpened, please leave your bag, and only bring your skates up to the front counter to drop off. PAYMENT WILL BE DUE WHEN SKATES ARE BEING DROPPED OFF.
  9. Once games have finished, teams leaving the ice surface must go straight to locker rooms and have 20 minutes to undress and leave so we can sanitize and get prepared for the next game.
  10. Teams preparing to enter the ice for games, must wait in locker rooms until zamboni is off the ice.

Barn/Pond Time:

  1. All players, employees and refs must have a mask on when entering the building and must continue to wear until in the locker rooms.
  2. All spectator areas will be closed.
  3. One guardian per family will be allowed entrance into the building, and once inside the rink must stand on an X if you wish to stay in the building to watch.
  4. Players only can enter 30 minutes before their session/game start time.
  5. Once inside, your temperature will be checked.
  6. Please remember that once inside the locker rooms, you will not be allowed to congregate outside to watch on ice events, unless you are a parent at Pond time.

All sessions:

  1. Each Event will be limited to capacity.
  2. No private lessons will be allowed at this time.
  3. All sign ups must be made online.
  4. There will be only one price and walk-ins will not be allowed entrance.
  5. Practice social distancing in the locker rooms to the best of your ability.
  6. No dressing or tying of skates will be allowed in the lobby.
  7. Parents who need to help their skaters, will need to have their players come outside of the locker room and will need to tie them standing up.

Facility Amenities:

  1. Water fountains, locker room bathrooms and shower areas will be closed off.
  2. Ice and towels will not be issued at this time.
  3. All spectator areas will be closed.
  4. Skate Sharpenings will not be on demand as in the past. You will need to drop them off after you skate, and can pick up 24 hours later or the next time you plan on skating.

We want to thank you for helping all of us stay as safe and healthy as possible. Our community is based on "togetherness" and while these restrictions may seem stringent, we feel we can help minimize everyone's risk if we can be intentional and thoughtful about procedures moving forward.

Sincerely,
The Pond Team
