Two studies APG funded with the USDA were on display. The studies' researchers, Dr. France Bellisle and Dr. Zhaoping Li, presented the findings. |

In the U.S., American pistachios were featured on a nationally syndicated morning show, Coffee with America, with lifestyle consumer trends expert Merilee Kern. The segment's focus was "Lifestyle Enhancers." Merilee spoke about pistachios as the ideal healthy snack for mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks, while at work. The segment was broadcasted on 940 television stations, from March 10-26, 2018. More than 2.5 million consumers viewed the segment. |

Trends Health Online Magazine #HappyFutureMommy Social Media Promotion |
From March 23 to April 24, Trends Health online magazine invited mothers-to-be to share photos of them and pistachios or their favorite pistachio recipes on Trends Health Weibo page. The promotion generated over 13.4 million impressions and 27,000 comments. #HappyFutureMommy became the fifth most popular hourly topic on Weibo on March 24. |

Popular Websites Host Expecting Mothers Promotion |
From April through May, five of China's leading websites for expecting moms featured a microsite (web page) dedicated to American pistachios. Each site included articles and short videos about pistachio nutrition for expecting moms. Also included were banners and advertisements promoting the health benefits of American pistachios. The promotion reached over 25 million expecting moms. |
