25th Anniversary Tour

To celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, David and I embarked on a Viking River Cruise up the Danube trough Central Europe. We arrived in Budapest, Hungary, a couple days early to explore this wonderful city, and then toured through Slovakia, Austria, a side trip to the Czech Republic, and then disembarked in Passau, Germany. David's travel blog is here if you are interested in photos of our trip.
Harpswell Get Away

Oceanside Builders was very busy working on some finishing touches of the Harpswell Get Away to get it ready for the owner's visit. Interior designer, Bradley Bowden, was working around the clock, too. Although there is still some work to do, the parts of the house that is done is fantastic. Looking forward for this project to be completed and photographing the craftsmanship.
Dunvegan

The Dunvegan is also nearing completion. Painting is being done on the exterior, and only the tower is yet to be sided. Some of the details that make this unique to the owner include the gargoyle guarding the south elevation, and the solid wood entry castle doors. With triple-glazed windows and a double-wall system, this might be the best insulated castle ever constructed.  Construction by Colt Kwiatkowsky.
Mad Hatter's Ball

Main Street Bath is hosting a gala in the Bath Library Park on Saturday August 11 from 6:30 to 10 pm. One of MSB's largest fundraisers, the Mad Hatter's Ball is sure to be a blast with great food and drinks...cocktail attire and a creative hat is encouraged. Music by Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations. Tickets are available at our office for $50 each, please email Cathy to arrange tickets or stop by our office.

Maine Home + Design

A couple months ago we put out a statement withdrawing our advertising for Maine Home + Design until there was change in the front office. That has recently happened, and we are happy to announce that we are again working with publication and their new leaders. Their press release introducing the new ownership group is here.

Shelter Magazines

Whether it's a coincidence or planned inclusion into the market potentially opened by the issues at Maine Media Collective, Maine has a couple new shelter magazines coming into the market. DMA has relationships with all of them, and each offers something different. Maine Home + Design is under new leadership, Maine Homes by Downeast Magazine is beginning a new quarterly home design magazine in July, and Design Maine will be printing their new magazine starting this September.
Bye Bye Birdie

There are not many tickets left for Bye Bye Birdie, a Maine State Music Theater production. Cathy will be playing the part of Mae Peterson. Tickets are only two shows on Monday July 30 (2 pm and 7:30 pm) and they are available here.
