David P. Grubb, 71, of Doylestown, Ohio, passed away July 4, 2018, in Barberton, Ohio. Born May 25, 1947, to the late Kenneth L. and Donna Marie (Dutton) Grubb.
David graduated from Wadsworth High School, was a former co-owner of Grubb and Grimes Chimney Sweeps, and he delivered newspapers for over 20 years for the Wooster Daily Record, and the Trading Post. He served in US ARMY as a Military Policeman during Vietnam War, was a lifetime member of National Rifle Association (NRA). He enjoyed competition shooting, fishing, hunting, reading, and he liked muscle cars.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Margie Ellen (Garrison) Grubb, who he married in 1984. Also survived by his brother Kerry (Laura) Grubb of Barberton, OH, and his sister Sue (Jack) Rist of Rittman, OH; mother-in-law Helen L. (Stevens) Uiselt of Wadsworth; sister-in-law Nancy (Dennis) Smith of Wadsworth; niece Kristy (John) Nutter of Barberton; nephew Steven (Heather) Smith of Wadsworth; great nieces Emma Nutter and Lindsy Smith; and also his dog Zoey, and cat Festus, who made him laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one nephew and one cousin.
No visitation. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. At the request of the family, and in honor of the deceased, casual dress is preferred at the services, especially no ties, please.
