Stay Active and Safe during the Shelter-in-Place
On April 29, 2020, Santa Clara County has extended the “Shelter-in-Place” order to the end of May, continuing to flatten the curve and slow down the spread of COVID-19.

The Walk Bike Cupertino Advisory Board encourages everyone to stay physically active, while following the social distancing rules. Keeping regular exercises is one of the best ways to maintain a healthy body and find peace of mind in all circumstances.

Fortunately, people can still visit parks, trails, and open spaces, enjoying fresh air and sunshine in our local areas. According to the Santa Clara County Public Health orders , you are allowed “ to go outside for exercise activities like walking and running, as long as you strictly follow social distancing requirements including maintaining a distance of six feet from everyone outside your household, frequently washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using an effective hand sanitizer, covering coughs and sneezes, and avoiding all social interaction outside the household when sick with a fever or cough .”
