Stallions in the Spotlight

Three of our recent grads were honored at the Ohio High School Athletic Association Central District Athletic Board banquet on June 18.    Jonathan Mager and Hector Gomez received the Kyre/Young Scholar Athlete Award Scholarship, and Abbey Dopp received the OHSAA Scholar Athlete Scholarship.

Aliyah Mitchell and Vanessa Amissa attended the Mercy College (New York) Leadership Academy last month. This 5-day, expense-paid academy developed leadership skills, and business and entrepreneurial practices. Their time included visiting and networking with Apple Inc. employees, listening to Fortune 500 executives, developing presentations and public speaking. Both Aliyah and Vanessa are members of the SFD Business Club. 


At the ThisWeek Sports Awards banquet Jack DeSantis, class of 2018, was named Boys Lacrosse Athlete of the Year. Check out the full article here. 


Students and staff had a wonderful time abroad this past June, making lifelong memories in 
London and France.

Upcoming Events in July

Educational Apparel Uniform Sale
When: July 18 from NOON - 6pm
Where: SFDHS Cafeteria
SFDHS' official uniform provider, Educational Apparel, will be at the school with all your uniform needs. *EA is holding their Back to School Sale with discounts in July (15% off). Call store for details: 614-876-3030.

Lennon Loop
When: July 22 beginning at 9am
Where: Alum Creek Park in Westerville
The Lennon Loop is an annual race to honor and celebrate St. Francis DeSales High School past faculty member, Bob Lennon. Bob dedicated 40 years of his life to the students of DeSales High School as a science teacher and cross country coach. Proceeds from this event support the Bob Lennon Memorial Scholarship Fund.

When:  Sunday, August 19
Check-in 12:30 p.m.

The fee is $100 for an individual golfer and $400 for a foursome.  Fee includes: 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, drink tickets, dinner, gift bags for each golfer, and a chance to win fabulous prizes.

$1,000 Premier Foursome includes four reservations, hole and table signage, name in the event program, name mentioned during the event, four mulligans, and four additional drink tickets.
