Bringing the blended sounds of old-time Appalachia, Irish and bluegrass music to the stage, the band I Draw Slow is set to perform Thursday, July 19, 2018, 5:30-7:30 p.m. as the Community Concert Hall/Alpine Bank "Concerts @ The Park" series continues.

Enjoying favorable comparisons to Gillian Welsh and Alison Krauss, the band's exuberant live performances and passion for tradition have earned a reputation for drawing in a crowd with infectious energy.

The band is fronted by Holden siblings Dave (guitar) and Louise (vocals) who have been writing together for two decades. In 2008 the pair teamed up with violinist Adrian Hart, clawhammer banjo player Colin Derham and double bassist Konrad Liddy to form I Draw Slow.

"We've been impressed with the strength of the songwriting, the sibling harmony and the musical proficiency of the band," said Garry West of Compass Records, which produced the band's latest release Turn Your Face to the Sun. "They are truly dedicated to their craft."
