For 54 years, God has been writing an incredible story through the Carmel family.
And this past year is no different! On Sunday, May 12, our worship service will reflect on and celebrate stories of God at work in and through the body of Christ that is Carmel. We're calling it Celebration Sunday!
Celebration Sunday is part of the Annual Church Meeting, which will begin Wednesday, May 8 at 6:15pm with reports and recommendations from the elders and committees and formally conclude following the celebration in all 3 Worship Services. Stay tuned for details!
Remembering Sri Lanka
In times like these, we're reminded of the importance of sharing the gospel all around the world. Please pray that local believers will boldly share the hope of Christ with those who do not yet know Him.

This weekend culminates Spring Carmel Serve - our twice-yearly mobilization of the Carmel family to serve with local ministry partners. We still have space for volunteers of all ages to serve - especially with our beautification projects at Lansdowne Elementary and the apartment complex that houses refugees served by Project 658. medical training alongside a global church partner as they reach out to their new neighbors - millions of refugees fleeing regional conflict (Nov 2 - 9, 2019). Sheet Updates
Two important updates related to sheets:
Bed Sheet Challenge: Let's collect 700 NEW sheet sets (twin/queen/full) for ministry partner Beds for Kids by Sunday, June 30. So far, 25 have been donated. Just 675 to go!
Weekly Prayer Sheet: The Carmel Family Prayer Sheet (now a small booklet) is available weekly at the Welcome Desks and includes prayer requests from the Carmel family and monthly prayers for our neighbors and the nations (including those impacted by the bombings in Sri Lanka). Sunday - Pastor Alex resumes the Galatians series with the message Freedom to Help One Another (Galatians 6:1-5). Parents and care-givers of our special needs friends will gather for the monthly EPEC time of fellowship and encouragement.
Monday (April 30) - Pray our Senior Adults will experience a rich time of equipping and encouragement as they depart for the THRIVE retreat.
Wednesday (May 1) - The regular Midweek line up, PLUS a retirement celebration for Leah Kilcoin in the Uptown Gathering Space following Famjam.

Parent/Child Dedication is Sunday, May 19. Register before Sunday, May 5 to participate and plan to attend a parent meeting on that same day.
Carmel Preschool, Kidz and Students will lead Next Gen Sunday on Sunday, May 19. Look for communication from your child's ministry area for details!
