April 12th, 2019

As we wrap up The Waiting Room, a series all about the seasons of waiting and uncertainty we encounter, we've learned about the many reasons for the wilderness, the many ways we can use these times for our spiritual growth and pursuit of Christ and so much more.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday, where we remember Jesus' triumphant entry into the city of Jerusalem, how the large crowds of people lauded the Savior, only to call for his crucifixion days later. As we celebrate Jesus' mission to heal, minister and forgive, we're going to look at scripture to see how Jesus modeled our calling to enter into the waiting rooms of others, to be torchbearers of God's light, truth and grace.

Join us for this very special Sunday! Pastor Nick will be speaking in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services. Dr. Bill Bouknight will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

Easter

Every year, Christians around the world unite to celebrate the most significant event in the history of all creation: the incredible resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. In Jesus' death and resurrection, His blood has purchased our freedom from sin and death. We have so many reasons to rejoice! You're invited to join us this Easter as we sing loudly and delight in the reality that Jesus is risen!

IF: Gathering
April 27
9:00 to 3:00

This is a generation that is not just hungry for big faith, but for a big faith that is lived out in the practical, mundane things we do and the decisions that we make every day. What does it look like to follow God and live out this faith in our relationships, at our jobs, in conflict, in suffering, with money? Faith can move mountains, but it can also change our everyday circumstances, so we are going to look at God's word to do that in one of the most practical, yet misunde rstood, books of the Bible - Proverbs. Proverbs doesn't show us a set of rules, but a different way to live that is so attractive, so fragrant, flowing through our lives, actions, relationships, and work, and drawing people to Christ. Together, we are going to discover what it looks like to do these things, not perfectly, but in good faith, trying our best to obey God and His way of life.  Registration Fee: $20. Register here.

Married People

We have two Married People events coming up soon. If you're unfamiliar with Married People, these are great opportunities to strengthen a marriage and enjoy  a fun, casual evening for couples to relax and laugh together.

April 24
Our individual issues can cause serious conflict in our marriages. It's much easier to sweep away the distracting cobwebs than to actually kill the spider causing them. In other words, we medicate surface-level issues without addressing deeper-root problems. But when we embrace God's plan for our life, we can kill the spider once and for all.

May 1
In marriage, we tend to have serious fights about silly things. That happens because we're really in conflict over something deeper. Women's insecurities around fear and men's weaknesses around shame play off one another in explosive ways. We can choose to handle these conflicts differently by remembering what's true about us as children of God.

Join us in the Auditorium for these evenings of fun and learning.
