Happy Holidays

It's a wrap!  Annual IISE All Ohio Event - Over 45 attendees

IISE members participated in the traditional "All Ohio" event on October 19. The Ohio State University Student Chapter hosted the joyful event for all chapters in Ohio including professional Chapter #1 and professional chapter Dayton along with university chapters from Ohio University, University of Dayton, Wright State University, and Youngstown State University.

Attendees were gifted with three TEDx style talks on topics such as career progression for young professionals, a plan for ISE's to be successful during COVID, and Industry 4.0. Jared Fredereci discussed the "V shape" approach to breadth and depth as well as avoiding the comfort zone along the way. Digital transformation is a key theme sparked by COVID and Brian McDaniel shared three steps for members to be on the forefront.

Tracy Owens concluded the event discussing Industry 4.0 with a challenge (shown below) for all participants:
Your Assignment:
Use data analysis to find one iron-clad cause-and-effect relationship
-Validate a hypothesis
                                                 - Disprove a myth
             - Come up with something new
Then consider how to use that information to generate positive outcomes.
