Caring Hands
GVCO and GVCO Caring Hands Foundation have partnered with Cradles to Crayons to support children in the area. Your donation of new or gently used items for infants through 12 yr olds will help keep them warm when they need it most.

We are off to a great start with everyone pitching in! Caring Hands volunteers held a bake sale, shared information about the program and are collecting donations. GVCO HS interns have promoted the drive and provided hot chocolate on a cold day. GVBL coaches and players have contributed community service hours volunteering at drop-off dates to unload your donations.

SATURDAY, NOV 16: LAST BIG DROP-OFF DAY - VOLUNTEERS WILL HELP UNLOAD YOUR DONATIONS!

Caring Hands has many activities scheduled in the next few months. Volunteer for activities and get credit for community service hours.

Challenger Gym
Challenger kicked off our fall session on Wednesday, November 6th. An amazing group of 17 high school volunteers were buddies to 13 fun-loving participants.

Lots of controlled chaos as kids propelled themselves on scooter boards, ran races across the gym and threw beanie babies to knock down obstacles. Fun, friendship and movement were our accomplished goals.

We could still use a couple high school volunteers. If interested, please contact Wendy Morris ( [email protected] ).

Dates: Wednesdays - November 6, 13, 20 December 4, 11, 18
Time: 4:15-5:15
Location: GVBL Center

Ivy Experience
Thanksgiving and Winter Breaks are a great time to sneak in college visits for high school families. If you travel to see family out of town, consider a drive through campus or a guided tour.

Visiting colleges with an open mind is a great way to start conversations about what a student wants in a college. Students will learn what they do and do not like about a school, and that information will help them form a list, whether that school makes the cut or not.

Lacrosse
Registration is now open for the Spring 2020 Great Valley Girls Youth Lacrosse Season!

GVGYL is available for youth girls in 1st through 8th grade who reside within the Great Valley School District. GVGYL participates in the Philadelphia Area Girls Lacrosse Association (PAGLA) league, which runs from mid-March to end of May.

No prior experience necessary! For more information and to register, visit:  www.gvco.org .
Pickleball
We are glad to have 2 new board members for GVCO Pickleball.

Please welcome Donna Beers and Sue Liberi! Both have already given so much help to GVCO Pickleball with fundraisers and as volunteers/subs during the day for the open gyms and advance plays. Their incredible drive in support of GVCO is amazing; it brings a new spirit to our board.

Surrey Services
Surrey Services for Seniors - East Goshen is now offering programs, classes, activities and meals in the Great Valley area.

This month they sponsored a AAA driver safety refresher course, author readings, a veterans expo and several health related sessions.

Cedar Hollow Inn has been a local favorite for over 20 years. The building, which was built in the mid 1800's, lends an old-fashioned charm to an unpretentious atmosphere.

Chef Stephen Guiseppe of the Culinary Institute of America adds personal flair and imagination to a delectable menu of American Continental dishes. The daily Chef's Specials are creative and unpredictable, energetically inspired an hour or so before the menu is finalized.

Indulge yourself, family and friends to a casual fine dining experience in any of the three dining rooms, including an enclosed sun porch and a large bar area. Tucked away in the middle of everywhere, the Cedar Hollow offers an experience that keeps you coming back.
Amazing Daily Specials & Live Music add to your enjoyment!
Thank you Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant & Bar for your support of GVCO and our many related programs!
