ExxonMobil Completes Acquisition of Indonesian Lubricant Manufacturer and Marketer PT Federal Karyatama

Heraldcourier.com, June 28, 2018: ExxonMobil has completed the acquisition of PT Federal Karyatama
 (FKT), one of Indonesia's largest manufacturers and marketers of motorcycle lubricants, from PT Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Tbk. and its affiliate. The acquisition, first announced in April, includes the Federal Oil brand and a 700,000 barrel per year blending plant in Cilegon, Indonesia.
The acquisition of FKT and its distribution network, which is supported by about 40 dealers, 3,200 Federal Oil centers and more than 10,000 retailers in Indonesia, strengthens ExxonMobil's position in a key growth market and will contribute to building the Mobil lubricant brand in Indonesia.   Read more...
Shell approves second North Sea project in six months

Dutchnews.nl, June 26, 2018: Shell has approved its second North Sea project within six months, after no new activity there for more than five years, Bloomberg news service said on Tuesday. Shell and partner ExxonMobil plan to develop the Fram field, previously regarded as only marginal, by 2020. The two energy majors developed the huge Groningen gas field in the northern Netherlands which is now slated for closure. 'Deep cost cuts following crude's decline and connecting smaller oil and gas pools to bigger projects are allowing Shell and other drillers to squeeze more out of an ageing North Sea, Bloomberg said.  Read more...
Gazprom, partners invest 4.8 bln euros in Nord Stream 2 construction

Tass.com, June 28, 2018: Russia's gas producer Gazprom and its Nord Stream 2 partners have invested a total of 4.8 bln euro in the project on natural gas pipeline construction as of the end of June, Chief Financial Officer of Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator of the pipeline construction, Paul Corcoran told journalists on Thursday.
"We have up until now 2.4 bln euro from Gazprom and 2.4 bln (euro) from the Western partners. So in total we have 4.8 bln (euro) at the end of June," he said when asked a respective question.  Read more...

Eastern Economic Forum 2018 to focus on development of Russian Far East

Tass.com, June 27, 2018: The major theme of the fourth Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) that will be held in Russia's Vladivostok on September 11-13, 2018, will be 'The Russian Far East: Expanding the Range of Possibilities', press service of Russia's Roscongress Foundation, the organizer of the forum, said in a statement on Wednesday.
"The Eastern Economic Forum is a platform for discussing key issues concerning the global economy, regional integration, the development of new industries and technologies, as well as global challenges facing Russia and the rest of the world. The Forum program is concerned with pressing issues. A considerable number of sessions are focused on developing technological potential, which will allow us to modernize the economy and infrastructure, which will, as a result, enable us to improve the standards of living in the Russian Far East," Adviser to Russian President Anton Kobyakov was quoted as saying.  Read more...
Russia's economic growth will reach 2.1% by year end, finance minister says

Tass.com, June 27, 2018: Growth of the Russian economy in 2018 will reach 2.1%, real wages will grow by 6.3%, First Deputy Prime Minister Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Wednesday.
"We see that inflation is falling compared to the planned figures. We planned 4%, in the draft amendments, in the forecast we take into account 2.8%, growth of the economy this year is 2.1%, it grows at a faster pace, in addition to industrial production real wages are growing. Growth of real wages in the current year we estimate at a rate of 6.3%," the minister said.  Read more...
Siemens' Energy Day: from small turbines to smart technologies

Realnoevremya.com, June 21, 2016: The German company Siemens operates in more than 200 countries and sees special prospects for its presence in Russia. The company's equipment and projects are presented at most large enterprises of the country, including the Republic of Tatarstan. A regional conference has been recently held in Kazan Riviera hotel, where Siemens experts and partners shared their experience and discussed the trends of modern energy industry. Angolan president receives Putin's invitation to visit Russia

Tass.com, June 27, 2017: Secretary of Russia's Security Council Nikolai Patrushev delivered an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Angolan leader Joao Lourenco to visit Russia in 2018, Patrushev's spokesman Yevgeny Anoshin said on Wednesday.
"Nikolai Patrushev who was received by the president of Angola delivered a verbal invitation from Vladimir Putin to visit Russia until the end of 2018," Anoshin said.
The secretary of Russia's Security Council also noted that the Russian president attached great significance to the development of Russia-Angola relations, the spokesman said.  Read more...
Russia's Sakhalin LNG plant ships milestone cargo to Japan

Lngworldnews.com, June 27, 2018: Sakhalin Energy, the operator of Russia's first LNG export plant, said it had shipped the 1500th cargo of the chilled fuel since the launch of the liquefaction facility located in the country's Far East.
The milestone cargo will be delivered by LNG carrier Energy Navigator to Japan's largest natural gas company Tokyo Gas, according to a statement by Sakhalin Energy.
Tokyo Gas was also the buyer of the first Russian LNG cargo produced at the Sakhalin facility in March 2009, the statement notes.
The LNG facility operated by Gazprom in cooperation with Shell produces LNG from two liquefaction trains with a total production capacity of 9.6 million tonnes per annum.  Read more...
Kyrgyz president stresses need for comprehensive cooperation with Russia

Tass.com, June 27, 2017: Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Zheenbekov said during his speech in the national parliament on Wednesday he considered it necessary to develop all-embracing cooperation with Russia.
"The development of comprehensive ties with our ally and strategic partner - Russia, with which we are bound by the centuries-long friendship and the common historical destiny, which have been tested by time, remains an invariable priority in the foreign policy," the Kyrgyz president said.
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan is not going to give up cooperation with other states, he noted.  Read more...
Russia expert to lead Canada's electronic eavesdropping agency

Thesundaily.my, June 28, 2018: A Russia expert was appointed Wednesday to lead Canada's electronic eavesdropping agency, amid ongoing concerns of Russian hacking and meddling in Western elections.
Shelly Bruce moves up from number two at the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) to replace her former boss, outgoing CSE head Greta Bossenmaier.
Bruce studied Russia and Slavic languages at university before joining the CSE in 2004 as director of intelligence, and quickly moved up the ranks.
Her appointment as the head of the CSE comes only two months after Ottawa moved to safeguard Canada's elections from cyber threats and "foreign interference", following accusations of Russia meddling in the last US election, which Russia has denied.  Canada's next federal election is scheduled for 2019.  Read more...
France and Russia believe in successful future of nuclear sector - Rosatom CEO

Russia and France are successfully cooperating in the nuclear sector and are convinced it has good perspectives globally, CEO of Russia's state nuclear corporation Rosatom Alexei Likhachev, said in an interview with France's Le Figaro on Thursday.
"We maintain partner relations with France in various regions of the world. Apart from that, Rosatom has close bilateral ties with such French corporations as EDF, Orano, Framatome, and Schneider Electric," he said. "Both France and Russia believe in the successful future of the nuclear sector."   Read more...
Russia eyes agriculture products exports contracts with Cameroon

Businesscameroon.com, June 26, 2018: Russia eyes some direct export contracts in Cameroon. This is revealed by Anatoly G. Bashkin, the Russian ambassador after his audience with the Cameroonian minister of agriculture Henri Eyébé Ayissi, last week.  
"We deduced that we need to establish direct contracts as far as agriculture products' import-exports are concerned. Recently, Cameroon is buying Russian wheat in profusion. Therefore, we will probably sign direct contracts", the Russian ambassador explained to the government daily at the end of the audience.  Read more...

Russia's Tyumen keen on hosting Indian pharma ventures

Thehindu.com, June 24, 2018: Tyumen has joined a growing list of Russian regions keen on playing host to pharmaceutical ventures of Indian firms, a move that comes in the backdrop of Russia's emphasis on building self reliance in drug production.
A front-ranking official of Tyumen Government met with Indian officials in Moscow last month, on the sidelines of the India-Russia Working Group on trade and economic cooperation, and conveyed the region's interest.

В ТПП России состоялось заседание по вопросам развития
неэнергетического экспорта

T7-inform.ru, 28 июня, 2018: 27 июня 2018 года под председательством Константина Бабкина состоялось заседание Совета ТПП РФ по промышленному развитию и конкурентоспособности экономики России.  Тема «Фокус на несырьевой экспорт: как должна измениться поддержка, чтобы стимулировать российские компании завоевывать новые рынки?»
В соответствии с президентским указом до 1 октября 2018 года Правительство РФ должно разработать, в том числе национальный проект по направлению международного экспорта. За шесть лет в стоимостном выражении объём несырьевого экспорта должен достичь 250 млрд долл. в год: речь идёт об удвоении в сравнении с сегодняшними показателями.

Экспорт из России в Индию вырос на 40% за четыре месяца 2018 года

Tvzvezda.ru, 25 июня, 2018: Экспорт товаров из России вырос на 40% за период январь-апрель 2018 года. Об этом агентству ТАСС сообщили в торговом представительстве РФ в Индии.
Лидирующие позиции в российском экспорте занимают алмазы, нефть, детали машиностроения, пластмасса и бумага.
Более чем на 600% увеличился экспорт бобов - с двух миллионов долларов в 2017 году до 14,5 миллионов в 2018.   Читать далее...
Татарстан принял стратегию экспорта до 2025 года 

Tatcenter.ru, 28 июня, 2018: Правительство Татарстана утвердило предложенную минпромтором РТ стратегию развития экспорта до 2025 года. К октябрю ведомство Альберта Каримоваподготовит проект профильной госпрограммы, а затем будет ежегодно утверждать план развития экспортного потенциала республиканских компаний и следить за его реализацией.
Если стратегию удастся реализовать по самому оптимистичному сценарию (а всего их три, ред.), к 2026 году по отношению к 2016-му количество стран, в которые Татарстан продает товары и услуги, вырастет до 169; объем несырьевого неэнергетического экспорта и экспорта услуг в стоимостном выражении - в 2 раза каждый; а темп роста количества экспортеров составит 50%.  Читать далее...
