THIS IS IT! TPN 30TH BIRTHDAY BASH

It's finally here! The event you've been waiting for all year long. Saturday, June 30 at KC Hall in Schulenburg. TPN is celebrating 30 years in publishing. That's no small feat for a newspaper these days.
So we're doin' it up big, Texas style.

  • Doors open at noon. ALL tickets will be at the door, whether you bought online or through the mail - we'll have your wristbands ready for you, and each person gets one ticket to enter the raffle. There are some cool prizes including a $1,000 certificate good toward a Rybak Tour, some goodies from Shiner Beer, a framed print of a Texas historic dance hall donated by Texas Dance Hall Preservation, some handmade items, plus 3 lucky winners will receive lifetime subscriptions to TPN.
  • Food will be available to purchase. St. Rose school volunteers will be selling Slovacek sausage wraps, Original Kountry Bakery kolaches, and other tasty menu items. We even have a birthday cake!
  • Added bonus: Space City Model T Club of Houston is bringing some cars to the party in the afternoon for all to enjoy.
  • Start the party Friday night: Ross and Valina of Das Ist Lustig will be performing at Momma's @ Sengelmann Hall Friday from 5-8 pm.
  • Click here to see the band schedule and get your advance tickets. Advance tickets will not be available after midnight tonight. Tickets at the door will be $15 for single and $25 for a couple. Kids 18 and under admitted free.

Thanks to Chris and Edita Rybak for giving 28 members of their European April tour a 1-year subscription to Texas Polka News. This is the second time the Rybaks have signed up their tour members to receive TPN. "We want to do our part in helping the Polka News reach its goal of increased subscriptions," Chris said. "Everyone should take the Texas Polka News." Couldn't agree more, Chris, and thank you and Edita for your generosity!
