Greetings from Mr. Gault

Last week Jostin, Justin, Nicholas, Humberto and Willie from fifth grade, Juan Diego from sixth grade and Brendon from eighth grade, received their First Holy Communion. It was wonderful to witness these seven young students take this next step in their faith Journey. Saint John Baptist de La Salle wrote in a Meditation to his Brothers: "Earnestly ask Jesus that his Spirit may be alive in you." The seven young men who asked to receive their First Holy Communion have done just that. Please keep these young men and all the students of The De La Salle School in your prayers.

The eighth-grade class recently collaborated to compose The De La Salle School Prayer. Working in four teams they shared their thoughts and prayers and then came together as a unified group to compose their school prayer. This prayer is a new tradition and is how we will end our school assembly and start our school day.

Dear God,
We ask you to help us throughout our day and stay by our side.
Guide us and put us on the right path.
Give us the strength to overcome our weaknesses.
Give us the prudence to know the difference between good and evil.
Empower us to see the good in everyone and learn to embrace them.
Help us to think before we speak and use our words to inspire others.
Father, we ask that you put us on the path to heaven; and help us become outstanding people who others remember, because of the warmth of our hearts.   AMEN

Together, in the Spirit of Saint La Salle,
